Kidepo Valley National Park is Uganda’s most distant park, located in the northeastern portion near the border with Kenya and South Sudan inside the semi-arid tropics. It is one of Africa’s most naturally authentic and least disturbed wildernesses, featuring vistas found nowhere else in East Africa.

The park has an area of 1,442 square kilometers with an elevation range of 914m to 2,750m. The park was established in 1962 and was named “Best National Park in Africa for spectacular landscapes and great buffalo herds” by CNN Travel in 2013. It is home to a diverse range of wildlife, much of which is not found in other Ugandan parks. Ostriches, Pygmy Crocodiles, Cheetahs, and other uncommon cats are examples of nature. The park’s 77 animals and an estimated 475 bird species make it an amazing and perfect destination for your African safari.
